TWO DAYS UNTIL OUR WINE TASTING!

Melanie not drinking on the job.

Check out our Wendy's Wonderful Kids Recruiter, Melanie Schmidt! When she's not doing all she can to find our kids permanent, loving homes, Melanie enjoys relaxing with a nice glass of wine.

And if you're in the Rochester area this Friday, you can too!

Melanie, our Price is Right model for the day, is showcasing one our awesome wine tasting auction items - a handmade, oak Adirondack kids' chair and side table (being auctioned off separately). If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, be sure to join us this Friday! Click here for more details and to purchase your tickets.

BUTLER/TILL SUPPORTS CAP

Children Awaiting Parents' Staff with Butler/Till Auction Donations

Field trip!

This past Wednesday, we visited the offices of Butler/Till. To say we were impressed by this company would be an understatement! They are a super warm, friendly bunch who love to give back to the community. They chose Children Awaiting Parents as their charity of the month and raised nearly $1000 - at no cost to Butler/Till. This past Wednesday, we joined them for a delicious $5 lunch, donated by Lovin' Cup, with proceeds going to CAP. (For ideas on how to hold a CAP fundraiser at your office, contact Lisa Best at 585-232-5110 or email lisa@capbook.org)

Not only are we super excited about Butler/Till's donations, we're also in love with their work environment. Named one of Ad Age's Best Places to Work in Marketing/Media, they earned this awesome title with Dog Fridays (yes, you are allowed to bring your dog to work), a basketball hoop out back, outdoor seating for lunch (to catch those rare days in Rochester when the sun shines) and tons of other awesome usually-non-work-related events. You can check out more on their Facebook page.

Last but not least, Butler/Till is also donating a bunch of awesome items to our upcoming A Toast To Spring Wine Tasting. We are so grateful and can't wait to see them at the event!

THANK YOU DON!

Don Alhart featured in our 1987 edition of Adoption Link

How fun!

We recently stumbled on this article from a 1987 edition of our newsletter, Adoption Link. Don Alhart, featured anchor in the article, is still airing our Friday's Child segments! Not only does he feature our youth on his news program, he also emcees our county's festivities for National Adoption Day.

We are so grateful for Don Alhart and all the work has done to highlight our waiting children. On behalf of the youth we serve daily, we'd like to say, "Thank you, Don!"

If you know a news station or paper who would like to feature our youth's photos and profiles, please contact Ilona at 888-8358-8802.
