Happy Wednesday everyone!

While we would prefer a professional photo done by a professional photographer; time, location and availability don't always allow it - but that doesn't mean we don't want the best photos of our kids! As many of you have probably seen, there are some really nice photographs that can be done with a smart phone. So Pat asked Lisa to take a photo of Kate so we could check it out.

With that said, I give you...Kate chillin'! If you've received any print material from CAP in the past year, this is the marketing guru who designed it!

Such a loaded question and never black and white!

This is one of Melanie's posters and every time I look at it, I remember what adult issues our youth grapple with on a daily basis. No child should have to make decisions like this. Kudos to all the caseworkers out there who work diligently with their youth to help them understand the importance of permanency and the weight of the decisions they'll make surrounding their futures.

Susan L serves on the Board of Directors for Children Awaiting Parents. It wasn't until after she was elected that she was speaking with a family member and learned that her uncle-in-law was a CAP kid in the 70's! Here's John's page in 1976 and then an updated version his family created.

Do you know a CAP kid? Tell us your story.

The story of Lisa is a beautiful one. Her moms found her photo on our website and knew she was their daughter. Not yet certified and knowing nothing of the process, they contacted their local agency and went through the home study process. Last year, Karen and Nicole finalized on the adoption of their teenage daughter, Lisa.

We are always so happy to hear from our families and were so excited to receive this great video of Lisa at her graduation this year.

Congratulations Lisa!
